Perth fashion has exploded recently thanks to online and a great selection of boutiques and brands. To kick off the Harry & Gretel blog we thought we would start by introducing the people behind the fashion scenes, starting with owner and founder, Wendy Mason.

Wendy has been the catalyst behind Harry & Gretel for over 13 years and has established lasting relationships with her clientele. When people have been shopping from you for over a decade you are definitely doing something right!

Wendy has a create flair and an eye for fashion like none other and is always on top of the latest in Perth fashion.

Q. Describe the Harry and Gretel woman in 3 words…
A. Fun with a touch of classic.

Q. Who is your favourite fashion icon at the moment?
A. It has always been Helena Christensen, I love how she is always holidaying in floral maxis. Her use of a pump with a smart outfit. And how she always manages to make denim look dressy. Her look just seems to defy time, not to mention she is the reigning queen of the sweeping fringe.

Q. If you were stranded on an island what 3 things would you take?
A. Bikinis, hat & lippy

Q. If you could put together an outfit from pieces in the store right now, what would you wear?
A. Silk Laundry Rust slip with a hand knitted cardi and my black patent Senso sock boots. Or I love a good sneaker!

Q. What is your hidden talent?
A. I absolutely love applying makeup

Q. Describe your style in 5 words…
A. Clean, modern, practical, stylish & love a touch of boho chic

Q. If you could meet one fashion designer, who would it be?
A. Karl Lagerfeld

Q. Are you a Miranda Kerr (simple and chic) or a Bella Hadid (edgy and on trend) when it comes to your style?
A. Bella Hadid

Q. Where is your favourite place in the world?
A. Amsterdam, the Nine streets is always an amazing buzzing place to shop!

Q. Who has inspired you in your life and why?
A. Jo Horgan, owner of Mecca Cosmetics, having a love of makeup, her business specifically for skin care and makeup, and growing it into a multi million dollar business…….

Q. What’s your Harry & Gretel mantra?
A. I always believe in treating every customer that comes in the same way. I want them to feel comfortable in trying on any items of clothing without any pressure to buy.
